Teacher for the Visually Impaired | White City, Oregon

We are seeking a skilled professional to provide expert instruction to K-12 students with visual impairments for the 2026-2027 academic year. This flexible contract role supports schools across Jackson, Josephine, Douglas, Klamath, and Lake Counties. Candidates will have the option to work in-person or through VOCO (virtual/remote), offering both adaptability and the chance to bring critical services directly to students.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Oregon TVI Certification or Licensure required
- Experience teaching students with visual impairments, preferably in K-12 settings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with educators, families, and support staff
- Ability to develop and implement IEP goals and adapt curriculum materials for individual needs
- Comfortable with both in-person and virtual instruction environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and support tailored to the individual needs of students with visual impairments
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion
- Create and adapt instructional materials, utilizing assistive technology as necessary
- Participate in IEP meetings, conduct assessments, and maintain required documentation
- Travel as needed within the assigned counties, or deliver instruction virtually as per assignment
