The assignment begins December 7, 2026, and concludes June 11, 2027, offering both in-person and VOCO (virtual/remote) options. With a flexible weekly schedule of 30-32 hours, this position is ideal for educators eager to collaborate with dedicated teams in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Oregon Teaching Certification or Licensure specializing in Visual Impairments
  • Experience delivering instruction to K-12 students with visual impairments
  • Proficiency in braille and accessible technologies
  • Skilled at developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Flexibility to travel within Jackson, Josephine, Douglas, Klamath, and Lake Counties as needed
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of an interdisciplinary team

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative services to visually impaired students
  • Assess students’ vision-related needs and customize instructional strategies
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
  • Support development and adaptation of curriculum materials
  • Ensure proper accessibility tools and resources are available for each student
  • Attend IEP meetings and contribute to comprehensive student plans
