Key Qualifications:

• Experience tailoring educational strategies for K-12 students with varying degrees of visual impairment.
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents.
• Current knowledge of assistive technology and Braille instruction preferred.
• Ability to manage caseload and documentation efficiently within a school environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Adapt curriculum materials and classroom activities for students with visual impairments.
• Deliver direct instruction using specialized techniques and adaptive technology.
• Conduct functional vision assessments and interpret findings for educational planning.
• Partner with general and special education teachers to implement modifications and accommodations.
• Guide and instruct classroom staff on supporting visually impaired students’ needs.
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and participate in IEP meetings.
