Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Special Education – Visual Impairment (P–12) teaching certificate OR a Special Education certificate with a Visual Impairment endorsement
- Demonstrated experience working with visually impaired children in educational settings
- Strong ability to adapt curriculum, develop accessible materials, and utilize assistive technology
- Skilled in consulting and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across various school locations
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver direct, individualized instruction to students with visual impairments across multiple school sites
- Adapt classroom materials and collaborate with general education teachers to ensure accessibility and inclusion
- Assess student needs, track progress, and contribute to IEP development and review
- Provide training and guidance to school staff on best practices and use of adaptive technology
- Engage with families to support student learning and development beyond the classroom
- Maintain thorough and timely educational records and documentation
