Desired Qualifications:
- Valid TVI educator license (required)
- Previous experience working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in a school setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Able to manage a districtwide itinerant caseload and travel between school sites as required
- Committed to promoting an inclusive, accessible learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted instruction and support services for visually impaired students across various district schools
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ individual needs and necessary accommodations
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to implement effective educational strategies
- Develop and adapt materials to ensure accessibility for all learners
- Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Stay current on best practices and legal requirements in the field of visual impairment education
