This full-time contract opportunity begins August 3rd, 2026, and continues through May 21st, 2027, with the potential for some additional planning days before and after the school year. What you'll bring:
- Active Georgia Educator Certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience working with students who have visual impairments in school-based settings
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Comfort with daily service documentation and maintaining accurate logs
- A passion for creating accessible, inclusive learning environments
Your contributions will include:
- Delivering direct or consultative vision services to students with diverse needs
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff to develop and implement IEP goals
- Ensuring instructional materials are adapted and accessible
- Documenting daily sessions and progress
- Contributing your expertise to multidisciplinary teams as needed
This position offers a minimum of 37.5 hours per week, with potential for part-time arrangements based on student needs. The district values the input of their TVIs and invites each candidate to discuss their preferred age groups, ensuring a positive placement experience.
