We are hiring full-time Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for the upcoming school year in Gallup, New Mexico. In this role, you will work directly with blind and visually impaired students, providing specialized instruction, advocacy, and adaptive strategies to help them excel both inside and outside the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
Provide direct, specialized instruction to students with visual impairments based on IEP goals.
Assess student needs and teach assistive technology, braille literacy, and visual efficiency skills.
Collaborate with classroom teachers, orientation and mobility specialists, and parents to adapt educational materials.
Conduct specialized evaluations and contribute to IEP development and progress monitoring.
Requirements
Education & Licensure: Active state certification/license as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) (or eligibility to obtain NM licensure prior to start).
Setting: Ability to work in-person across local school sites.
Skills: Strong knowledge of braille, assistive technology, and specialized instructional adaptations for visual impairments.
