Key Qualifications:
- Certified Texas Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) required
- Background working as a Visually Impaired Teacher or similar position in school settings
- Experience providing specialized instruction to K-12 students
- Ability to adapt curricula, create accessible resources, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support to students with visual impairments across K-12
- Adapt class materials and instructional strategies to support individualized education plans
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, assess student progress, and contribute to program planning
- Maintain accurate records and ongoing communication with stakeholders
