You’ll play a vital role throughout the 2026-2027 school year, working onsite and collaborating closely with educators and support staff to create an accessible and engaging educational environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Visually Impaired Teacher License and Massachusetts Department of Education (MA DOE) certification required
  • Successful completion of MTELs (Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure)
  • Demonstrated experience working with students with visual impairments in a school setting
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to tailor materials and instruction to diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and services for students with visual impairments in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Assess students’ needs and progress while documenting and reporting outcomes
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective strategies and accommodations
  • Support students with orientation, mobility, and adaptive technology
  • Remain current with best practices and legal requirements related to visual impairments in education
