Desired Qualifications:
- Current TVI (Teacher of the Visually Impaired) educator license, required
- Demonstrated experience as a Visually Impaired Teacher, ideally within school environments
- Ability to manage a districtwide itinerant caseload and work independently across multiple sites
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with educational staff, students, and families
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
Responsibilities:
- Travel to assigned schools within the district to deliver specialized instruction for visually impaired students
- Conduct functional vision assessments and develop individualized education plans
- Coordinate with classroom teachers and support staff to incorporate appropriate accommodations and adaptations
- Maintain accurate records, progress monitoring, and required documentation
- Provide consultation, resources, and advocacy for students, families, and educators
