What you’ll bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s Degree (required)
- Current certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in the state (required)
- Experience working 1:1 with pediatric students preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills
- Passion for helping students achieve their educational goals
- Willingness to work on-site and travel to the assignment location
Daily responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized instruction for a visually impaired student
- Adapting instructional materials and methods to meet specific needs
- Collaborating with classroom teachers, support staff, and families
- Monitoring progress and adjusting strategies to maximize student success
- Promoting independence and self-advocacy skills
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting on student development
