Qualifications:
- Master’s degree required
- Valid TVI (Teacher of the Visually Impaired) Certification
- Previous experience in a school setting
- Proven ability to design and implement individualized instructional strategies for visually impaired students
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and adapting lesson plans and materials to meet the unique needs of students with visual impairments across grade levels K-12
- Conducting assessments and implementing appropriate adaptations for students’ academic and functional progress
- Consulting with teachers, staff, and family members to promote an inclusive educational environment
- Providing direct instruction and ongoing support to ensure students’ access to curriculum and assistive technology
- Participating in IEP meetings, contributing professional insight, and tracking student progress
Details:
- Contract position starting as soon as possible
- One day per week, 7 hours per week
- Serve students from kindergarten through high school
