1:1 1:1 Pediatric Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Meriden, KS

Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from an accredited institution required
- State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired a must
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings ideal
- Strong ability to adapt instructional methods and materials for students with visual impairments
- Skilled in providing direct one-on-one instruction and support to meet individual needs
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to support one student’s unique educational needs
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials to accessible formats (Braille, large print, audio, or tactile)
- Work closely with classroom teachers, related staff, and families to monitor and enhance student progress
- Foster independence and self-advocacy skills in a supportive learning environment
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation in line with district and state requirements
- Provide consultative input to educational teams regarding accommodations and modifications
