This full-time, on-site contract opportunity focuses on providing dedicated 1:1 instruction for a pediatric caseload. You’ll play a critical role in helping young students thrive academically and develop the skills they need for independence and success.

Qualified candidates will bring a strong background in visual impairment, paired with a passion for individualized teaching and collaboration across educational teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required
  • State Certified as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
  • Previous experience working 1:1 with pediatric or school-aged students in an educational setting
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, families, and multidisciplinary staff
  • Ability to tailor instruction and accommodations to meet diverse student needs
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct 1:1 instruction, support, and resources to visually impaired students in a school setting
  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans and appropriate modifications
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion
  • Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
  • Communicate regularly with parents and school personnel regarding student achievements and needs
  • Advocate for students to ensure equitable access to educational opportunities
