Make a meaningful impact supporting students by providing specialized instruction as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired. This onsite contract role runs from August 3rd, 2026, through May 21st, 2027, with the possibility of pre- and post-planning days. You'll collaborate with district leaders to determine your placement based on your strengths and preferences, ensuring an optimal fit for both you and your students. Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Educator Certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired
- Experience as a Visually Impaired Teacher within a school setting preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to complete daily service logs
- Flexibility to serve a range of ages, depending on caseload and district needs
- Comfortable communicating with parents, staff, and district contacts
- Commitment to meeting IEP goals and documenting progress
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional services to students with visual impairments in an onsite setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student learning
- Complete and maintain accurate daily documentation of services provided
- Develop and adapt materials to foster student independence and success
- Participate in pre-planning or post-planning activities, as needed
