Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Morton, Pennsylvania

In this full-time role, you’ll support school-aged students throughout the county as part of an itinerant caseload. What we’re looking for:
- Required certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Prior expertise supporting children with visual impairments in K-12 settings
- Ability to create and adapt individualized instruction and accessible materials
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, school staff, and families
- Confidence in using assistive technology for students with visual needs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Key responsibilities:
- Assess student needs, develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Deliver direct instruction to students with visual impairments, both one-on-one and in classroom settings
- Travel between schools within Delaware County to provide services where they’re needed
- Consult and collaborate with classroom teachers to adapt curriculum and ensure accessibility
- Train staff and families in strategies and equipment for supporting students with vision loss
- Document progress and maintain effective records in compliance with school and district guidelines
