1:1 Long-Term TVI - North Little Rock, Arkansas

This full-time, on-site position focuses on supporting a pediatric student in a long-term assignment. Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required.
• Current certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in the state is mandatory.
• Experience working 1:1 with pediatric students strongly preferred.
• Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to a visually impaired student, focusing on academic, functional, and social skill development.
• Develop, implement, and assess progress toward Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and parents to support learning and inclusion.
• Adapt curriculum materials and classroom environments to ensure accessibility.
• Provide direct instruction in Braille, assistive technology, orientation and mobility, and daily living skills as required.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and student data.
