Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification with a specialization in visual impairments

- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and creative approach to teaching
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students' visual functioning and educational needs to tailor effective instructional strategies
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments, both in the classroom and through specialized resource sessions
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote inclusive learning opportunities
- Adapt curriculum materials and classroom environments for accessibility
- Instruct students in the use of Braille, large print, and assistive technology
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress monitoring and reporting
- Advocate for students’ needs, ensuring access to resources and equal participation in school activities
