Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Alabama

A telehealth opportunity is available for a visually impaired teacher specializing in educational support for students with visual impairments. This role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and resources remotely to enhance the learning experience for visually impaired students within a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored educational services to visually impaired students through telehealth platforms.
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) that address students’ unique needs.
• Collaborate with school personnel, families, and related service providers to support student success.
• Utilize assistive technology and adaptive teaching strategies to facilitate learning.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as necessary.
• Offer training and guidance to educators and staff on strategies for supporting visually impaired students.

Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure as a teacher of the visually impaired.
• Experience delivering services via telehealth or remote platforms is preferred.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage students remotely.
