Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired - WI

An opportunity is available for a Visually Impaired Teacher specializing in telehealth services. This role supports students with visual impairments through remote instruction and consultation, helping to enhance their educational experiences in a virtual setting.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments via telehealth platforms.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and specialists to develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to student needs.
• Conduct assessments and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
• Provide training and resources to school staff and families to effectively support visually impaired students.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification or licensure in teaching students with visual impairments or related fields.
• Experience in delivering instruction through telehealth or other remote learning methods.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage students in a virtual environment.
• Knowledge of assistive technologies and tools for visually impaired learners.
• Familiarity with educational standards and individualized education programs (IEPs).
