Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure with active status
- Demonstrated experience working as a Legal Nurse Consultant
- Strong background in implemention and management of assistive technology solutions in school or healthcare settings
- Solid understanding of accessibility laws, guidelines, and best practices
- Excellent communication, documentation, and teaching abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, administrators, and families
- Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
Primary Responsibilities:
- Evaluate student needs and recommend appropriate assistive technology tools and resources to enhance access and learning
- Train staff, students, and families in the use and maintenance of assistive devices and software
- Provide legal nurse consulting services, including medical record review and case analyses within an educational framework
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation
- Participate in IEP/504 meetings and contribute to intervention planning
- Ensure compliance with relevant federal, state, and local regulations
- Act as a resource and advocate for accessible learning environments
