As a travel TVI, you will have the chance to:

Qualifications:

  • Hold an active Georgia PSC certification with the appropriate Vision Impairment/TVI endorsement.
  • Demonstrate experience in individualized instruction for students with visual impairments.
  • Exhibit strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct, specialized instruction to a 6th-grade student with a visual impairment—two 30-minute sessions per month as specified by IEP goals.
  • Partner with classroom teachers and school staff to facilitate effective accommodations and support accessibility.
  • Advise on the use of assistive technology and strategies to maximize student independence.
  • Monitor progress and maintain open communication on vision-related educational needs.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with all IEP requirements.
