1:1 1:1 Pediatric TVI - Barre, Vermont

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required
- Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Previous experience in a pediatric or school setting strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of best practices, adaptive technology, and Braille
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school teams
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, empowering learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support and personalized instruction to a student with visual impairments
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and related service providers to adapt curriculum and materials
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) addressing specific educational goals
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
- Advocate for student needs and facilitate independence, accessibility, and self-advocacy skills
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development to ensure best outcomes
