1:1 Long-Term TVI - Montpelier, Vermont

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required; must hold an active state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Experience supporting K-12 students in a school-based setting, with a preference for pediatric and 1:1 instructional work
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with parents, teachers, and support staff
- Ability to develop and adapt lesson plans to suit the unique needs of a visually impaired learner
- Motivated, compassionate, and reliable—demonstrating flexibility in a dynamic school environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized, curriculum-based instruction for a single pediatric student with visual impairment
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress throughout the assignment
- Adapt instructional materials and leverage assistive technology to facilitate accessible learning
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to optimize the student’s educational experience
- Participate in team meetings and contribute professional insight to drive student success
