Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Maryland teaching certificate with Vision endorsement (MSDE)
  • Proficiency in Braille (preferred, but not required)
  • Recent experience teaching students with visual impairments
  • Ability to manage travel between school sites within a defined cluster
  • Up-to-date on House Bill 486 background checks, fingerprinting, and employment history review
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct vision services as identified in IEPs for a geographically organized school cluster
  • Attend and contribute to virtual IEP meetings while on-site
  • Adapt service delivery based on students’ needs and your Braille expertise
  • Foster independence and academic success in visually impaired students
  • Collaborate with other TVIs, O&M staff, and multidisciplinary teams
