- Experience teaching students with visual impairments, including development and delivery of specialized instruction
- Strong skills in Braille are highly valued; assignments can be tailored to match Braille proficiency
- Confidence in managing itinerant caseloads and adapting to serve multiple schools within a close cluster
- Ability to participate in virtual IEP meetings from school locations using district technology
- Willingness to complete House Bill 486 background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills in a dynamic school environment
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Providing direct instructional services to students as outlined in IEPs
- Supporting a cluster of nearby schools, adjusting caseloads according to student needs and your skill set
- Collaborating closely with other vision professionals and school staff
- Attending and contributing to virtual IEP meetings from on-site, school-based locations
- Monitoring progress, maintaining documentation, and providing regular feedback to educational teams and families
Enjoy the stability of a school-year contract (August 31, 2026 – June 17, 2027), a supportive team of vision professionals, and the unique opportunity to help shape services to your strengths. Interviews are being scheduled now for immediate consideration.
