Qualifications:
- Active Texas Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification required

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work alongside teachers, aides, and service providers
- Passion for fostering independence and academic growth among students with visual impairments
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not necessary
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments, adapting curriculum materials and instructional strategies to individual needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to promote inclusive practices and identify accommodations
- Assess and document student progress, implementing modifications as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expert input for student plan development
- Serve as a resource for staff and families regarding best practices and assistive technology
- Travel between school sites within the district, as assigned
