Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Texas Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification required
- Experience teaching or supporting students with visual impairments (preferred)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Familiarity with assistive technology and accessibility tools is a plus
- Passion for advocating and supporting student independence
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative services to K-12 students with visual impairments
- Assess student needs and develop individualized educational strategies
- Adapt curriculum and materials into accessible formats
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote student access and engagement
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as necessary
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation according to district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student goals
