- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams, families, and students
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments based on their individual needs and IEPs
- Adapt and develop Braille, large print, and tactile learning materials
- Conduct functional vision and learning media assessments as required
- Work closely with classroom teachers to implement accommodations and modifications
- Support student independence, advocacy, and orientation/mobility skills in school settings
- Maintain thorough records and progress reports
- Communicate regularly with families and team members to support student growth
