Qualifications
- Valid teaching certificate with Vision endorsement, Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE)
- Demonstrated expertise in supporting visually impaired students; strong braille skills recommended
- Willingness to complete required district background check and fingerprinting
- Flexible and collaborative approach to working with multiple schools and colleagues
Responsibilities
- Provide direct vision services as defined in students’ IEPs across a designated cluster of schools
- Participate in IEP meetings virtually while on-site, coordinating closely with colleagues and families
- Adapt caseloads based on specific student needs and your instructional strengths
- Deliver both braille and other specialized instruction for students with varying degrees of visual impairment
