TVI - Central Point, OR
Make a meaningful impact as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI), supporting students across K-12 levels from December 7, 2026, through June 11, 2027. You’ll work closely with learners in Southern Oregon, either on-site or virtually (VOCO), ensuring every student receives a tailored educational experience. Take on a flexible contract role at 30-32 hours per week, collaborating with professionals and families throughout Jackson, Josephine, Douglas, Klamath, and Lake Counties.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Oregon TVI Certification/Licensure required
- Experience teaching students with visual impairments, preferably across multiple grade levels
- Comfortable providing both in-person and virtual instruction
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- Understanding of assistive technology and accessible educational materials
- Ability to manage a diverse K-12 caseload
Responsibilities:
- Assess student needs, develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct instruction and consultation for visually impaired learners
- Adapt curriculum and materials for accessibility
- Support general education staff with resources and strategies
- Track student progress and maintain comprehensive documentation
- Communicate effectively with families, other educators, and support personnel
- Travel within assigned counties as needed (with mileage reimbursement when applicable)
