Long-Term 1:1 TVI - Clancy, MT
Make a real difference for a student’s educational journey by providing expert support as a 1:1 Teacher of the Visually Impaired. In this impactful full-time, on-site contract position, you'll work directly with a pediatric learner, helping them access curriculum, build confidence, and thrive in the classroom each day. Ideal qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from an accredited institution
• State certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
• Strong background in supporting visually impaired students in a K-12 educational setting
• Experience providing individualized, 1:1 instruction and adapting materials to student needs
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
• Eagerness to work in a long-term placement
Key responsibilities include:
• Providing direct, customized instruction to a visually impaired student in alignment with their individualized education plan (IEP)
• Collaborating with classroom teachers, specialists, and family members to support the student’s academic and social development
• Adapting and modifying classroom materials for accessibility
• Implementing strategies, technology, and adaptive equipment that foster greater independence
• Monitoring progress and providing feedback to the educational team
• Maintaining compliance with state and federal special education guidelines
