1:1 Long-Term Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | East Helena, Montana
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students by partnering one-on-one as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in a school setting. This full-time, long-term contract opportunity is ideal for those passionate about supporting the educational needs of pediatric students who are visually impaired. As an on-site educator, you’ll work directly with a student, designing and implementing individualized instructional strategies. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) required
- Active state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
- Previous experience working 1:1 with pediatric students is highly desired
- Strong communication, adaptability, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support to a visually impaired student in a school setting
- Modify curriculum materials and classroom activities to ensure full accessibility
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to implement effective accommodations and interventions
- Track student progress and communicate regularly with school staff and families regarding goals and achievements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to individualized education planning
