Qualifications:
- Current Georgia TVI licensure/certification required
- Active Georgia Educator Certificate
- Experience in providing services to visually impaired students is highly valued
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in supporting Braille and expanded core curriculum instruction is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to progress monitoring
- Lead or support Braille instruction as needed; flexible hours available based on interest in Brailling (20 hours per week if open to Brailling, otherwise 7-8 hours weekly)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement individualized goals
- Support expanded core curriculum activities and integrate assistive technology as appropriate
- Complete documentation and assist with Medicaid billing where required
