Qualifications:
• Active Georgia TVI licensure/certification is required
• Must hold a current Georgia Educator Certificate
• Previous experience in a school-based setting supporting visually impaired students
• Familiarity with Braille instruction and/or Expanded Core Curriculum skills preferred
• Experience in ASD or severe classroom settings is a plus
• Reliable transportation
• Commitment to participating in professional meetings and scheduled activities
• Willingness to be flexible with in-person or virtual service delivery (VOCO) considered
Your Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments
• Attend and actively engage in IEP meetings, collaborate with educational staff, and complete progress monitoring
• Support Braille and Expanded Core Curriculum instruction, adapting materials as needed
• Complete required Medicaid billing tasks where applicable
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach
• Maintain clear documentation and timely reporting on student progress
This contract position begins on July 31, 2026, and continues through June 3, 2027, with part-time hours available—choose between 20 hours weekly with Braille support or 7-8 hours/week without Braille instruction.
