Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Possess active Georgia TVI licensure/certification
- Hold a current GA Educator Certificate
- Direct experience in school-based settings supporting students with visual impairments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Braille instruction and the Expanded Core Curriculum will be advantageous, though not required for all hours
- Comfortable participating in IEP meetings and contributing to Medicaid billing processes as needed
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instructional support and adapt materials to meet individual student needs
- Maintain ongoing progress monitoring, partnering closely with multidisciplinary staff and families
- Participate in IEP meetings to develop and track measurable student goals
- Support and, if able, deliver Braille/expanded core curriculum instruction
- Accurately complete required documentation to support student growth and compliance
This part-time contract spans from 7/31/26 through 6/3/27, offering flexibility with either a 20 hour/week schedule (for candidates open to Braille instruction), or a lighter 7–8 hour/week option for those not engaging in Braille instruction.
