We are searching for a dedicated educator with expertise working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to serve an itinerant caseload across a respected school district. This contract opportunity involves providing essential support, assessment, and instructional services to students, collaborating closely with school teams, and fostering academic and personal growth.
What You’ll Need:
- Current Texas TVI educator license
- Experience serving students with visual impairments in educational settings
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Flexibility to travel between sites within the district as needed
- Commitment to individualized, student-centered instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instructional support and consultation for students with visual impairments
- Conduct assessments to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
- Work as part of multidisciplinary teams, partnering with teachers, staff, and families to implement accommodations and modifications
- Curate and provide accessible materials and technologies to maximize student engagement
- Support transitions and provide advocacy for students’ academic and social development
