Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Teacher Certificate appropriate for visual impairment instruction
- Experience or strong understanding of providing educational support to students with visual impairments

- Skilled in collaborating with classroom teachers, families, and related service providers
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
Position Details:
- 39.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Engage with students throughout K-12, tailoring approaches for different grade levels
- Assess students’ functional vision and learning needs, developing and implementing IEP goals
- Teach Braille, assistive technology, orientation and mobility, and other vital skills
- Consult and train school staff and families on best practices for supporting visually impaired students
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education
