- Excellent communication skills and the ability to advocate for students’ individual needs
- Responsible, reliable, and capable of maintaining compliance with student IEPs and educational goals
What You'll Do:
- Provide specialized instruction to students with visual impairments across multiple grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans tailored to student abilities and goals
- Teach Braille literacy, assistive technology, and other adaptive skills crucial to student independence
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support teams to modify curriculum and classroom environments
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and communicate regularly with families and staff
