Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in Virginia
- Proficiency in Braille instruction
- Prior experience working with visually impaired students preferred
- Flexibility to work in person, with a willingness to consider virtual options (VOCO) if needed
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Duties:
- Instruct visually impaired students in Braille and other adapted educational materials
- Develop and implement individualized education plans
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and assessments
- Work onsite for 21 hours per week (7.5 hours per day, 3 days a week)
