Travel professionals are eligible for weekly tax-free stipends for housing and meals. Hourly compensation is based on experience and location and ranges from $38.71 to $46.12.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Experience delivering specialized instruction to students with visual impairments
- Familiarity with Braille, assistive technology, and orientation & mobility techniques
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with educational teams and families
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess individual student needs and design tailored instructional plans
- Provide direct instruction in Braille, use of low vision equipment, and life skills
- Collaborate with classroom educators, therapists, and families to facilitate student success
- Create accessible educational materials and adapt curricula as needed
- Document progress and maintain compliance with IEP requirements
