Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students with visual impairments across grades K-12 in a dynamic school environment near Norristown, PA. This role begins as soon as possible and runs through June 3, 2025, providing consistent hours—32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:15 PM.

As a dedicated educator for visually impaired students, you’ll work collaboratively with fellow professionals to adapt instruction, resources, and materials, ensuring each student achieves their full academic potential.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Pennsylvania Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification (Instructional I or II required)
  • Experience teaching students with visual impairments across K-12 preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accessible instructional methods and adaptive technology
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and educational teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored instruction to visually impaired students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
  • Assess student abilities and design individualized teaching strategies
  • Modify curriculum materials and collaborate on technology solutions for accessibility
  • Support classroom teachers in adapting lessons and ensuring a fully inclusive learning environment
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to families, addressing concerns and celebrating achievements
