This full-time, itinerant position (37.5 hours/week, with some flexibility for part-time consideration) covers multiple school settings, serving students from Pre-K to transition age. As a leader in the Vision Related Services Department, you’ll play a crucial role in championing best practices, offering mentorship, and supporting both students and colleagues through advocacy and resource sharing. Qualifications:
- Active Professional Educator’s License (PEL) with visual impairment endorsement
- Master’s Degree
- At least 5 years of school-based teaching experience
- Completion of required fingerprinting and background clearances
Responsibilities:
- Deliver vision services and instructional support to students with visual impairments across several school sites
- Lead best practice initiatives, and provide coaching, mentoring, and training to new and returning staff
- Collaborate with school teams, families, and district leadership
- Guide problem-solving efforts and advocate for resources to enhance service provision
