Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Gainesville, Georgia

Your expertise will help students access their education, gain independence, and reach critical developmental milestones. Work approximately 20 hours per week, traveling between multiple school locations, as you provide essential instruction and support for children with visual impairments.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid Georgia teaching certificate in Special Education – Visual Impairment (P–12) or a Special Education certificate with a Visual Impairment endorsement.
- Experienced in or passionate about working with K–12 students who are visually impaired.
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized educational strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual impairments aligning with IEP goals and state curriculum standards.
- Consult and collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families to support students’ academic and functional needs.
- Adapt educational materials and environments, ensuring full accessibility.
- Monitor and document student progress while making timely instructional adjustments.
- Guide and educate school teams on best practices for supporting students with visual impairments.
