Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) is required
  • Must possess a valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired
  • Previous experience working 1:1 with pediatric populations is highly valued
  • Ability to adapt instructional materials and approaches for students with visual impairments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with classroom teams, families, and related service providers

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct instruction and develop customized educational plans to meet the individual needs of the assigned student
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, ancillary staff, and parents to foster a supportive learning environment
  • Assess student progress and adjust strategies to maximize academic growth and independence
