What We’re Looking For:
- Current Oregon TVI Certification or Licensure
- Experience teaching or supporting students who are visually impaired in a school setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across multi-disciplinary teams
- Enthusiasm for working with K-12 caseloads of varying needs and backgrounds
- Ability to provide both direct instruction and consultation, adapting services to in-person and virtual environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instructional services to visually impaired students, helping them access the core curriculum and develop essential independent living skills
- Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families to create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct ongoing assessments and maintain thorough documentation of student progress
- Advocate for and assist with the acquisition and use of adaptive technologies and materials
- Travel between sites within region as needed to support students or attend meetings
