ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a full-time opportunity supporting students within a specialized educational district in Plymouth, MN. This role offers the chance to work closely with students who require individualized, high-level support in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
Position Details
- Start Date: September 8, 2026
- End Date: June 10, 2027
- Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
- Setting: Onsite
Caseload
- Caseload of approximately 25–30 students
- Primarily students with visual impairments, with possible secondary and tertiary disabilities
- Opportunity to support diverse learning needs in structured settings
Work Environment
- Support across 2–3 school sites
- Locations include: North Education Center, South Education Center, West Education Center
- This is a Setting IV district, serving students with significant behavioral and physical needs. Candidates should be comfortable working in a high-support, structured environment
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction for students with visual impairments
- Develop and implement IEPs
- Adapt curriculum and materials to meet individualized student needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, staff, and families
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Support students’ academic, behavioral, and functional development
Qualifications
- Active TVI licensure/certification (required)
- Experience with students with visual impairments preferred
- Experience in high-support or behavioral settings is a plus
- Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
