You’ll support caseloads of 25-30 students, primarily with vision disabilities, some of whom may also have significant behavioral or physical disabilities. The assignment runs from September 8, 2026, to June 10, 2027, with an average of 37.5 hours per week and responsibilities shared across 2-3 educational centers dedicated to serving students with complex needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching license for Visually Impaired students (TVI certification)
- Experience supporting students with visual, behavioral, and/or physical disabilities preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple schools
- Excellent organizational, adaptability, and communication skills
- Commitment to inclusive, differentiated instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct instruction and assessments for visually impaired students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt and create accessible educational materials
- Consult and collaborate with special education teams, families, and support professionals
- Provide mobility and orientation guidance as needed
- Travel between assigned buildings as scheduled
