What We’re Looking For:
- Certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Valid IL SLI License
- Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Demonstrated experience working within schools is highly valued
- Strong skills in developing and implementing individualized learning strategies for visually impaired students
- Collaborative approach with teachers, families, and support teams
Your Impactful Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and adapt curriculum materials for visually impaired students
- Develop and implement IEP goals in partnership with educational teams
- Advocate for student accessibility and success within the general education setting
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional techniques as needed
