Key Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification for Visually Impaired (TVI) students (required)
- Certification or experience in Orientation & Mobility (O&M)
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Flexibility to work across multiple buildings and adapt to changing assignments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to visually impaired students
- Travel between up to three assigned schools for TVI and three for O&M (subject to change)
- Collaborate with regular and special education teams
- Conduct and update individualized educational plans (IEPs)
- Support student independence and accessibility using adaptive technology and mobility techniques
- Maintain accurate student records and progress reports
